Black History Month Essay Contest

Penn Foster has teamed up again this year with the Scranton Post Office and others to sponsor the 17th Annual Black History Month Essay Contest in the Scranton School District. The contest, which is held each year, celebrates the diversity, significance, and richness of African-American achievements. Over 400 students from all the districts’ intermediate schools submitted essays. Black History Month is celebrated annually in the United States and Canada in the month of February, while in the UK it is held in the month of October. Congratulations to all the essayists.

“Many schools do not work internationally or are very expensive.
With Penn Foster, I found that the materials were very complete,
easy to understand and the staff always supported me.”

Imagine the pride and joy of having your dog win Best In Show! The breeder and owners of Uno, the first beagle ever to win Best In Show at the Westminster Dog Show, surely have those feelings. The little beagle displays an energetic and happy temperament, proud gait, and a healthy, strong body. His playful baying and howling only endeared him further to his pleased audience. Congratulations to the owners and to the handsome little beagle, Uno, who have made all of us Snoopy fans proud.
