CHANGING LIVES THROUGH ACCESSIBLE, AFFORDABLE EDUCATION

Back to School Message

Dear Students,

As faculty of Penn foster we’d like to impress on you the great appreciation we have for the amazing reach of Penn Foster. In addition to the international students enrolled in a Penn Foster program, add the many thousands of current American and Canadian enrollments, and you begin to understand the impressive number of “classmates” you have.

It’s certainly not to make you feel insignificant. On the contrary. If you’re a typical Penn Foster student, you are a busy adult facing issues and challenges that are shared by many fellow classmates.

This is a reminder that there are many students wrestling with the same time restraints and the daily exhaustion of a busy life in order to get an education. So now, at the start of this fall season, we just wanted you to know that you are not alone. Not only do we, the faculty, try our best to give you the support you want and need, but you are not alone even among your classmates. In the near future we will be launching a new forum for Penn Foster students who are enrolled in the same program to share their experiences. In this way, a student in this large educational institution will be able to feel part of a community of similar learners.

Continue with your studies, fight for the education you want, and we will be here to support you in any way we can.

Student Spotlight — Meet MEGAN P.
of Apache Junction, Arizona

Megan P., Penn Foster Teacher Aide Graduate

Megan P. of Apache Junction, Arizona, has changed her life. Having her Teacher Aide Career Diploma has opened doors of opportunity for her, never before available, and we at Penn Foster believe her decision to further her education was the deciding factor in accomplishing her goals. Over the last three years, Megan had the courage to take the steps necessary and complete the work required at home in order to earn a Career Diploma.

“I enjoy my job and have found that my Teacher Aide
Career Diploma has helped me to advance tremendously,
and has opened up a lot of doors for me.”
Megan P., Graduate of Teacher Aide Program

First, Megan earned a High School Diploma from Penn Foster Career School and then completed the Penn Foster Teacher Aide Program. Her education with Penn Foster qualified her for a temporary job at a day care. Megan said her boss was impressed with her quality of work there and has written her a complimentary letter of reference for her next employment goal: a position as a Teacher Aide in her local school district. Megan, who is also fluent in two languages, has taken her paraprofessional test and has enrolled in the Arizona Statewide Child Care and Early Education Development System (S*CCEEDS), a registry for all professionals who work with children. She is excited and looking forward to what the future holds for her.

At Penn Foster, we have no doubt that Megan will continue to open the doors to her dreams, and we are happy to be such an important part of her continuing hopes and accomplishments.

People CHANGING their LIVES

David K. of Chesapeake, VADavid K. of Chesapeake, VA, loves learning. He states: “My writing, reading, and numerical skills have been sharpened. I follow guidelines I studied from Penn Foster when it comes to all forms of writing I have to do. As an adult resident international student, this course did not only give an account of past events but a deeper understanding of the American culture and values. Working people often complain about their busy schedule; hence, they do not have time to study or pursue further studies. However, Penn Foster introduced to me the most convenient way of furthering my education. As a result of this convenience with study material that is user-friendly, and the Penn Foster faculty who are accessible and supportive, I would recommend it to anyone who seeks an easy way to study.” David’s next goal: to become a paralegal.

Lindsay R. of Curepipe, MauritiusLindsay R. of Curepipe, Mauritius, states, “Since I was a student, it was my dream to hold a Diploma, but my dream was never realized until I met the Penn Foster Career School. I’m fifty-two years old and holding various certificates in Hotel & Restaurant Management, and I run my own business in the ecotourism sector. Now my dream has been realized, I have completed the Career Diploma in Hotel & Restaurant Management. I’m so proud to bring my curriculum Vitae up to date...”

“I would suggest those who have missed the train do not hesitate to join the Penn Foster Career School, as it’s a key of success to hold a diploma or higher degree in a global world of competitions.”

Zameena N. of Bronx, NYZameena N. of Bronx, NY, says, “My name is Zameena N., and I am a decendant from Guyana, South America. Currently, I am a resident of the United States, residing in Bronx, New York. I am presently enrolled as a student in the Pharmacy Technician program. Being a student at Penn Foster Career School has tremendously enriched my mind; and so I am delighted to be associated with the academic program of such a reputable and accredited institution of learning.”

“I consider myself fortunate, at my age, unlike many, to participate in such a studious and resourceful field of knowledge. I anticipate after the completion of my studies to be of better service to humanity. I have been acquainted with Penn Foster Career School for approximately the past 15 years when it was originally International Correspondence Schools. Therefore, it is my sincere desire to recommend the institution, without reservation, to any individual who seeks a well-informed and detailed course of study, such as being offered by Penn Foster Career School.”
