FACES OF PENN FOSTER

“Without a doubt, I would recommend Penn Foster’s Certified Wedding Planner Program to anyone interested in a career as a bridal consultant. You can study when and where you want. I have a B.A. degree in foreign affairs, and I’ve studied several languages, but I was never satisfied with the small jobs I had using that background. When I left France for Ecuador with my husband, I wanted to create my own company. In 2008 I enjoyed planning my own wedding from the decorations to the favours, and I realized I enjoyed the creative challenge that planning involved. I love everything about organizing weddings…the decorations, flowers, cake detail, gowns, the excitement of the couple planning the event they have always dreamed of. Penn Foster helped me begin my own business in the wedding industry and change the cap of the company. My husband has a travel agency, and we combined the two businesses to offer high-quality wedding events and fun, romantic honeymoons. We also offer vow renewal ceremonies for foreigners in Ecuador along with destination weddings. Our brand name is Etica Events & Terrasenses.

What I like about the Penn Foster program was that it really motivated me. I do wish the opportunity for an internship would have been offered, but I liked the books, especially “How to Set Your Fees and Get Them” and the topics presented. So I’ve found that it is possible to work at something you really enjoy and have a happy life because you are doing something you can feel accomplished at. Everybody has their “something.” You are really successful and good at your job when you do something you love. You just have to work at finding it. Assert your independence and don’t wait to change your life.”
