Susan McGrath came to Penn Foster with a diverse and accomplished educational background. She taught elementary and junior high school in Brooklyn and Queens, NY, and was principal of a private pre-k to grade-8 school in Queens. She also served as an adjunct instructor in education and early childhood education at Keystone and Lackawanna Colleges. Ms. McGrath is now department chair for the General Education and Early Childhood Education programs for Penn Foster and is a senior instructor in all college and career early childhood education courses.

Ms. McGrath’s accomplishments in the field of education include membership in the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is an organization dedicated to improving the well-being of children, focusing on children from birth through age 8. She is also a Pennsylvania Quality Assurance Certified Instructor (PQAS), who schools day care providers with the state-required training they need to maintain their day care license. Because of her experience and background, she is also a member of the Keystone Stars Advisory Committee, which advises on policies and regulations for child care and early childhood education in Pennsylvania.
