FACES OF PENN FOSTER

“I was already in the stage of almost giving up my job here in Saudi Arabia due to homesickness and boredom when my boyfriend and my sister convinced me to check out Penn Foster and try online education. After looking at the list of programs, I became interested in Medical Coding and Billing and thought I could incorporate it into my current work, which is hospital administration.

Right after I started my first study unit and earned good grades, I became inspired and more stimulated to perform at my best. As days went by, I totally became engaged to my study because of its indescribable boost to my wellbeing.

When the physicians that I work with knew about it, they also became involved and supported me to do better. They started giving me medical reports for typing to enhance my knowledge of medical terminology. They even involved me in participating in constructing a database for the coding of neurological diseases in our outpatient clinic. Taking advantage of the medical environment I work in, and utilizing my resources, helped me face the challenge and excel in my education.

Well, my boring days due to the restrictions of social life here in the Middle East turned into exciting and fruitful ones after joining Penn Foster. With the help of my loved ones, my friends, and the people I work with, I realized that wherever we are, we can always align our sense of direction simply by finding our passion.”
