Penn Foster Student
Brings Home the Gold

Sara Sayasane, a student in the Penn Foster Dental Assistant Program and a pro in-line speed skater, traveled from her home in San Jose, California to the Anyang Inline Roller Stadium in Anyang, Gyeonggi Province, Korea to compete in the 2006 World Roller Speed Skating Championships, which were held September 1-9, 2006.

Sayasane, a sprinter, took the gold medal in the Senior Women 3,000m track relay. More than 1000 skaters from 50 countries competed in 12 events. The United States ranked 4th in the competition, winning 6 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze medals in the international championship competition.
