NEW DIPLOMA LAUNCHED — COMPUTER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Penn Foster is pleased to announce the Computer Support Technician Program. Computer Support Technicians maintain, troubleshoot, and install software and hardware devices. They also advise and teach computer users about proper computer maintenance. Whether it’s a business network or a computer lab at a college, institutions will eventually need computer support. A Computer Support Technician Diploma will prepare you for installing and upgrading software or repairing hardware and teach the skills that keep businesses and home computers operating smoothly.

Students will receive the training necessary to interview for entry-level positions within organizations that use computer systems, for computer hardware or software vendors, or for third-party organizations that provide support services on a contract basis, such as help-desk service firms. According to Payscale.com, an entry-level starting salary average is from about $10 to $15 per hour in the United States, while experienced technicians command a salary up to $25 per hour.
