You can learn to be an Appliance Repair technician
on your own time. That means:
- You learn at home, at your convenience.
- You don't have to quit your job.
- You don't have to spend your time in classrooms
or driving to and from school.
- You can earn your Career Diploma in as little
as six months, or take longer if you wish.
- You can choose to take your open-book exams
online, by phone, or mail.
No Experience Necessary
The Penn Foster Appliance Repair Program is designed
so even beginners learn quickly. You'll be amazed
at how fast you learn with:
- Step-by-step lessons written in plain English.
- Plenty of illustrations, photos, and diagrams
to make each concept perfectly clear.
- A digital multimeter, a multi-tip screwdriver
bit set, and other handy tools that are yours
to keep and use in your new career.
Instructor Support
Even though you're learning at home, our instructors
are available if you need help. With Penn Foster
Student Support Services, you can get help from
instructors by e-mail, phone, and mail.
YOUR DIPLOMA
When you complete your program with an overall
average of 70% or above and fulfill your financial
obligation, you'll receive your diploma.
Your diploma is a symbol of your achievement
and your ticket to success proving you've graduated
from a nationally accredited school. Your diploma
gives you the credentials you need to succeed
in today's competitive job market.
THE GRADING SYSTEM
At the end of each study unit, you'll take an
open-book exam. You can now take exams online,
by phone, or by mail. Your examinations and projects
will be graded on the following scale:
